Haydent’s inspection form sends your request to Haydent by email. You can also arrange an inspection with the phone or email links on this site.

What the inspection form sends.

When you send the form, your name, phone number, email address if you give one, vehicle, ZIP code, note, and the time you sent it are emailed to hayden@haydent.info and info@haydent.info. Photos you add are resized in your browser first — about 1400 pixels on the long edge, saved as JPEG — and attached to that email. There is a limit on the total size of the attachments; a photo that does not fit is not sent, and the form tells you which one. Your request is also recorded in Haydent’s own database, hosted by Supabase in the United States, so the office can follow it up and keep a record of who asked. That record holds what you typed — your name, phone number, email address, vehicle and ZIP code, and your note — and nothing else. Your photos are emailed only; they are never stored. Your request itself is not saved in your browser. The home page does keep one small marker in your browser: if a message about arranging an inspection appears when you look like you are leaving, the site remembers that it has been shown so you do not see it twice. It is a yes/no marker and a date, it contains nothing about you, and it is not used for advertising. The email is delivered by an email service Haydent uses for this purpose; your request is not sold. Leaving or reloading the page clears what you have typed. To keep the form from being used by automated senders, it checks a hidden field that people never see, how long the page was open before sending, and how often requests arrive from the same internet connection. If a request cannot be sent, the form says so and asks you to call instead — it never reports a request as sent when it was not.

Advertising and measurement.

This website uses the Meta pixel, an advertising tool from Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It sets a cookie and tells Meta which pages you visit here and whether you tap the phone or text links or send an inspection request, so Haydent can see which of its Facebook and Instagram ads bring people here and show its ads to people who have visited before. It does not receive your name, phone number, email address, vehicle, ZIP code, note or photos from this website. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, the pixel script does not run; the one exception is a fallback image that loads only when JavaScript is turned off. You can also limit how Meta uses your activity on other websites in Meta’s Accounts Center, under “Your activity off Meta technologies”.

This website uses Google Analytics, a measurement tool from Google. It sets cookies so that a return visit can be told from a first one, and it records the pages you visit, how you arrived here, your device and browser type, your approximate location, and whether you tap the phone or text links or send an inspection request. It does not receive your name, phone number, email address, vehicle, ZIP code, note or photos from this website. Google’s own privacy policy governs what Google does with it, and Google offers a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout that stops Google Analytics on every site.

This website also uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits and records the page, the site that sent you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location, to city level, worked out from your network address. It sets no cookies and keeps no identifier that follows you from one day to the next. When you tap the phone or text links or send an inspection request, it is told that this happened and on which page, and nothing else.

There is no SMS program.

If you arrive from an advertisement, the link carries a code identifying the ad you clicked. This site keeps that code, the page you landed on and the site you came from in a cookie in your browser for 90 days, and attaches them to an inspection request if you send one, so Haydent can tell which advertising actually reaches people. The cookie holds only those codes, cannot be read by scripts on the page, and is set only when you arrive from an advertisement.

Illustrations and real work.

The dent-mapping still image is an AI illustration. Two journal entries use a still from inspection footage of a technician marking a vehicle hood. Editorial storm images illustrate weather topics and do not depict the specific events described in the journal. The moving storm sky above the home page and the clearing neighborhood scene behind the footer are AI illustrations.
